The property market is diverse and has residential properties to suit all budgets. There are hectares for those seeking a relaxed rural lifestyle or properties that boast cliff top opulence and sweeping ocean vistas. Yet you will still find properties that remain within reach for first homeowners.
Sawtell and Woolgoolga feel like country villages but are only 15 minutes from the city centre. It's the best of both worlds - friendly country town with big city services, entertainment and facilities.
Family home prices range from $200,000 to over $600,000, with a typical 3-4 bedroom family home with ensuite and double garage priced in the vicinity of $300-350,000.
In the rental market, two-bedroom units are available for approximately $180 - $225 per week. Three bedroom homes are approximately $300 per week.
The median sales price for all dwelling types in Coffs Harbour in the September quarter for 2008 was $317,000 (houses $344,000 and units/flats $235,000).
